Our Story

Tim Dean is a first-generation cattleman that got his start when his parents gave him three calves when he was 12 years old and he sold freezer beef while he attended school. His passion for the cattle industry led to him earning a degree in Agribusiness at Middle Tennessee State University and later a career with AgGeorgia Farm Credit. In the early ‘90s, Tim started using Angus bulls, and in the mid-’90s he bought his first registered Angus females from McBee Angus Ranch in Tennessee. In 2019 Tim and his family were blessed to be able to purchase the current farm just south of Chickamauga, GA

The Deans strive to be good stewards of their land as they practice rotational grazing. Dean Angus runs along 1.5 miles of West Chickamauga Creek frontage and have fenced the cows out of the creek to try and do their part. The kids enjoy fishing, kayaking, and swimming in the creek.

They are active members of Second Baptist Church in LaFayette, GA and volunteer their time in ministries such as Restore 6:34 ministry (where Donna is the founder/co-director) and STEER, Inc. which is an organization that works with farmers and ranchers to use their operations to help support missionaries. Tim has served as the President of the Georgia Cattlemen's Association and currently owns Creekbend Appraisal and Consulting, LLC.

We think some of the best people on the planet work in agriculture because they aren’t afraid to work hard, and they take care of what God has given them.
